Defensive Carbine 301

Carbine 301 is designed to enhance the core carbine skills acquired in previous courses. This course will provide the student with progressive new learning by applying advanced techniques to rifle fundamentals. The course will begin and finish with an individual evaluation, where each student will demonstrate proficiency with the carbine and perform while under stress, Students will be assessed on skills that will include speed, efficiency and accuracy at close and extended ranges. During Phobos Solutions’ Carbine 301 course shooters will gain experience and practice with:

• Safety
• Conditions of readiness
• Recoil mitigation in unorthodox positions
• Multiple targets
• Barricades usage
• Complex malfunction clearance
• Conventional and improvised shooting positions
• Adverse angles
• Rapid threat analysis and acquisition
• Linear and lateral movement
• Strong/support hand only shooting

Phobos Solutions’ Carbine 301 course enrollment is for an approximately 16 hour block of training. The items needed to attend this course are:

• Carbine with Sling
• Four weapon specific carbine magazines
• Reliable semi-auto or revolver handgun
• At least two (2) weapon appropriate magazines (semi-auto) or speed loaders (revolvers) for handgun
• Weapon appropriate holster
• Magazine pouches for carbine and handgun
• Eye and ear protection
• Durable pants(with belt loops) a sturdy belt, and shirt (preferably long sleeve)
• Appropriate foot wear
• Sufficient water and food to sustain eight hours of training each day in any kind of weather

Prerequisite: Carbine 101 & 201 or comparable course from a Phobos approved Training company.
